Long story short, fitness has saved me mentally. I have been at this journey for 2-3 very difficult and abused years and I can’t say that I’m fully happy with myself or my body yet, but I’m a whole lot closer than I ever was. In just the past year, I’ve built myself up to be a runner. I’m still not speedy, nor am I superior at it, but I went from being dead after 5km to having that as warm up! I now surpass most boys in fitness tests and I’ve qualified for xc city finals by placing 14th to finish in my region out of (number 35 of out 140). So don’t giveupyourgoals because every single day I am STRUGGLING to make it out there on my own, without support from my family and little from my friends!

here’s my second before and during. I’m 5’5 and my starting weight on the left is 156. Current weight on the right is 140. This is 7 months of progress ( I tend to move slowly =P) I never in a million years thought that I would make it this far. It’s amazing the things you can do when you set your mind to it!

Thank you for posting intelligent diet/exercise advice! I am so sick of “fitspo” bloggers posting unhealthy diets and unsustainable exercise plans, but you look like you’ve actually done your research :)

This is my absolute goal! I’m sick of 13 year olds thinking they know how to lose weight healthily and sell silly meal plans, so I try to back up everything I write/do/say with some kind of research or common sense. I’m super glad someone else has noticed! Thanks for taking the time to let me know what you think, too!

Someone just submitted this, but their ask isn’t on! Turn it on!

I’m going on a cruise with my boyfriend’s family, what should I do insanity workout wise?

I’m on my second week of insanity, and by the time I go on the cruise it’ll be the start of my third week. I’m sharing a room with my boyfriend’s mom and little sister so I don’t think I can really do any insanity workouts there, even if I had the time. So what should I do as far as insanity goes when I get back home after a weak, should I start from the beginning or continue on with week 3? Also are there any small workouts i can do some point on the ship? I’m just scared I’m going to lose any progress I’ve made form insanity.

Cruise ships always have gyms, so work out there! They usually have fitness programs and classes that are either free or cheap. There are also usually basketball courts, pools, or a path to walk around the deck. You can download or buy Insanity, and do it on the cruise.

If you choose not to do insanity on the cruise, just continue where you left off. Good luck!
