Little to do with the body, everything to do with the mind
When there’s a will, there’s a way. Know that you are all stronger than you think possible. It soesn’t matter that you can’t squat your bodyweight yet or if you can only deadlift 100lbs, you will reach your goals. Lifting heavy weights has LITTLE to do with muscle mass and everything to do with determination, focus and will.
When I first began I could barely bench press the empty bar- now I press 10lbs more than I weigh. When a heavy, intimidating, deadlift is laying in front of you, more than you think you can handle, you know what get’s it up?- The refusal to let it fall. You start, you finish, there’s no giving up half way through (unless it’s comprimising form) or stopping because you tell yourself you aren’t strong enough. That’s how I squat over 200lbs. Never let the notion of faliure enter your mind, don’t think it, do it! You will accomplish more than you ever thought capable when you refuse to accept defeat, when you choose to never retire with something you KNOW you can do.
When there is will, there is ALWAYS a way
